I have battled depression for many years now. I know whats it like to want to end your life. I have had the privilege of using a hotline. Idaho is need of our support. please join me in walking or donating. PLEASE! GOD BLESS
Our family has been affected by suicide with the loss of our niece Britney, our nephew Logan and our dear friend Mike. Loss of vibrant family and friends is difficult, but a loss to suicide leaves scares and empty spaces that no family should ever have to endure.
Please consider a donation to our team to honor Britney, Logan and Mike’s life and to help raise awareness to suicide prevention and mental health support.
Suicide is a very real, very serious epidemic. Sadly, all of us have been affected by in in some form or another. I’m excited to walk all night for a good cause. Everyone deserves to feel love and hope ❤️
There are 129 suicides every day in the United States, with a suicide occurring every 12 minutes—and suicide rates increase at night. Strength 2 Thrive is designed to help people struggling with suicidal thoughts to know they are not alone—they have value. You can help give them the Strength 2 Thrive to discover the hope tomorrow brings!
What is Strength 2 Thrive? It’s a walk-a-thon, concert, and gathering that we hope will bring people together to raise awareness about suicide and build a community of support.
Give a gift to support the mission of Strength 2 Thrive! Your donation will help to raise awareness about mental health issues and be donated to national and local suicide prevention charities.
I’m passionate about this cause because I live it each and every day. Every day I wake up and find a new reason to live. Every day I wake up and ask God for just one more day and to help me fight off the Devil. I’ve lost. People very close to me who suffered from depression who felt that their only option was suicide. I’ve felt that way myself many times. No more!
“I’d carry you through the flames of hell. Through places where the demons dwell. You’ll never walk alone!”
January 1, 2016 I lost my best friend since the 4th grade to suicide. He was 33, leaving behind his only daughter, wife, friends and loved ones. To this day he is extremely missed and will never be forgotten. Sadly, this is an ever ending tragedy that continues to grow and that is why I’m helping to team up to help raise funds for Strength 2 Thrive and bring awareness to suicide prevention. To let people know they are not alone and that there is help out there. To let people know they are loved and that breaking that silence can and will make a difference. Kairos – the opportune time because the time is now to help put an end to suicide!
With so many suicides happening each and every day, especially amongst our youth, I ask that you would please consider to giving a gift to support me and my team of reaching $1,000 to put towards our event goal of raising $200,000. Your gift is tax-deductible and all proceeds will go to the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline. You will also receive a gift receipt following the event.
With suicide the issue is that not enough initiative is taken to prevent possible suicides. This is what we can improve right now. With walk a thons and community awareness just like this it will raise a better understanding and help mental health counselors and others to support and be armed with tools needed to love on and help those suffering or struggling. I have seen first hand how Suicide and mental health issues that lead to suicide can affect families and whole communities. It’s our chance to love others well and show them their NOT ever alone. Please consider donating to this cause or helping sponsor our team. It would mean a great deal to so many in our community who have suffered even recently with suicide.
I just want my family members to see that I care and I want to offer my support. I know there are many who suffer in silence so bringing awareness to this is important!!
I have not been personally affected by suicide but many people who I am close to have. My heart hurts for those who feel like suicide is the answer and if often happens out of nowhere .
I don’t have much experience with mental health issues or suicide, but I Chad does. I believe in his mission and I know his passion for those who are afflicted with mental health issues, and for those affected by suicide in any way.
I want to help Chad in his Strength 2 Strive mission in any way I can. I don’t have the temperament to work with people struggling with these issues myself, so I want to contribute by participating in this fund raiser.
